Sequence of Events for hiring an Interior Decorator:

  1. Programming meeting:

Review client's goals and expectations, budget, preferred style, functional and architectural requirements,
and visual cues such as magazine photo clippings. Determine what furniture pieces, rugs, art work, etc. stays
or gets replaced in the final design.

  2. Taking measurements and photographs of project space:

Drawings and renderings can be accurately produced from the exact measurements taken of the project space.
Before photographs will also be taken to show the dramatic transformation of the final design in the Decorator's
before and after portfolio. Before photographs will also be used as a reference for the furniture and decorative
items the client wishes to use in the final design.

  3. Design Development meeting:

Rough sketches to show the design concept to date. This will include a floor plan and perhaps one elevation (wall)
drawing to highlight a certain design feature. Also presented will be samples or photos of color schemes,
lighting plans, flooring, and ideas on furniture pieces.

  4. Revisions as necessary per the client specifications, after reviewing the sketches and samples presented in the
    Design Development.

  5. Presentation:

Final Design concept communicated through floor plan drawings or colored renderings.

  6. Implementation:

Client signs agreement to implement the design. Purchase arrangements are made for decorative and architectural
